Meditations by Marcus Aurelius - Perhaps the foremost book on stoicism ever written. A must for anyone trying to train themself to say yes to life and be more disciplined. One simply cannot help but endeavor to be more stoic in the face of hardship and challenge themself after a read of this hugely influential title.
The Untethered Soul by Michael Singer - A fantastic nondenominational, down-to-earth, rational introduction to spirituality.. Singer's writing and talks can be characterized aptly by the phrase "quality over quantity." This simple, short read can be life-changing if approached with an open mind.
Waking Up by Sam Harris - The iconoclastic Sam Harris lays off of rhetorically tearing people apart in philosophical debates for a moment to deliver one of the most comprehensible and readily actionable spirituality titles ever to be published. Harris's witty but straightforward prose makes for a light to medium difficulty read. This title is likely not for the orthodox religious adherent, however.
